Overview

The British Museum, in the Bloomsbury area of London, United Kingdom, is a public institution dedicated to human history, art, and culture. Its permanent collection of some eight million works is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence, having been widely sourced during the era of the British Empire.

PTS, with landmark architects, Sir Norman Foster & Partners, were commissioned to design the theatre and presentation systems for the Great Court.

“The theatre’s spaces have been extremely successful and have since hosted events from major international figures such as Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton.”

Summary

The theatre’s spaces have been extremely successful and have since hosted events from major international figures such as Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton. The theatre spaces are equipped with a wide range of presentation facilities including projection systems to support presentations ranging from theatrical performances to scientific lectures and film previews.
