Inside the solid metal block; a flexible work environment and infrastructure enable the organisation to grow and adapt to future changes within the banking industry. Paying close attention to detail, 5 Broadgate provides the Client with a prestigious workplace, centred around the Client’s core values of knowledge sharing and staff-wellbeing.

UBS engaged PTS to take on an advisory role during RIBA stage 4 to ensure all IT requirements for the new, state-0f-the-art space would provide the required functionality. PTS guided the Client, recommending solutions for an efficient, cost-effective, yet highly available IT infrastructure, critical to operations. The infrastructure also provides the foundations for the Client’s AV solutions, designed, implemented and tested by PTS. From traditional office spaces to over 250 meeting rooms, break-out areas, auditorium, three TV studios and trading floors as well as the gymnasium and the tech bar. AV solutions support a wide range of activities, helping UBS collaborate and communicate throughout the office space.

The innovative, technology-rich environment helps UBS operate more sustainably. Smart systems ensure the building is 25% more efficient than required. Data gathered from the plethora of technology allows UBS to adapt and further optimise the structure as time goes on. The result is a ground-breaking, functional and pragmatic space that not only supports the business’s need for a flexible environment and the work requirements of UBS’s employees but goes beyond to enrich the lives of those who inhabit it.

The inclusion of health and fitness programmes, a wellness centre, laundry and medical facilities, as well as the extended use of the state-of-the-art auditorium for family film nights, makes 5 Broadgate the ideal environment for attracting and retaining the talent the business requires to thrive.
