A Global Legal Firm develops global change management process with help from PTS
The Client’s organisation is made up of a number of merged legal firms from around the world. These legal firms have brought with them their own IT organisations, many of which have been interfaced into the core IT infrastructure. Through a number of initiatives, the Client’s applications and workflows have been introduced into the partner organisations.
Change Management was seen as a key process in ensuring that global packages were effectively introduced and made available to the partners globally in a consistent manner. Prior to the work carried out by PTS, there were numerous local instances of Change Management implemented to varying degrees of effectiveness.
The challenge was to develop a global Change Management process that met all of the IT organisations’ requirements and could help reach an agreement in following such a process.
- Strategy developed from running workshops with global representatives aligned to local working practices
- Global Change Policy Process
- Automation of approval notification and sign-off and enablement of global views of change status
The Client can now manage IT changes from a global perspective. This enables the roll out of global applications to be co-ordinated more effectively and streamlines the management of changes locally that may affect the availability of key global applications.
