Summary
The new campus allows Shell to bring its London workforce together. Joint by two bridges, the buildings create one large, flexible environment stimulating collaboration and communication. With digital signage found throughout, the Client can promote its brand to visitors and communicate internal announcements to employees. The Bring Your Own Device meeting room solutions help users connect, present, and share content with ease.
For the new-build office, PTS designed, implemented, and tested the IT Physical Infrastructure. The scope included comms rooms designed and structured cabling. The team coordinated with the Lead Design consultants, AECO to provide Shell with a robust infrastructure platform.
The complex provides Shell with a future-proof space designed with productivity and collaboration at its heart. The Client aims to attract and retain talent to impress clients with user-focused spaces and innovative technology. The reception areas, in particular, stand out with large video walls and pillar screens.
Impressive office spaces, however, go beyond aesthetics. For technology to make an impact, it must improve the user experience. An excellent example of this in the restaurant where users can enjoy balanced sound throughout the environment regardless of how far away, they are from screens and speakers.
With Shell occupying the iconic tower throughout the refurbishment, the project presented many challenges. PTS carefully coordinated and planned the project to deliver the impressive space the Client was after.
